Paste your deck list before you play
The result will show the total, the split by card type and any name that appears more than four times.
Basis: official Pokémon TCG rulebook, consulted on 13 October 2026. Checked locally; no deck list is sent.
What makes a deck list correct?
A Pokémon TCG deck contains exactly 60 cards. It needs at least one Basic Pokémon and, apart from Basic Energy, no more than four cards with the same name.
A structured list separates Pokémon, Trainer cards and Energy. The checker adds up each section and groups identical names, even when they come from different sets.
Why check before you play
One extra card is enough to make a list incorrect. A missing card also changes the odds you worked out for your opening hand.
The check shows the exact gap and the name to fix, so you go straight back to the list instead of recounting all 60 cards one by one.
How the check works
Every card line starts with a whole-number quantity. The tool adds up the three sections, then totals the quantities for each normalised name, so accents and capital letters cannot slip past the limit. Set codes and collector numbers such as OBF 125 are ignored when grouping names.
The English and French names of the nine Basic Energy types are exempt, including the Pokémon TCG Live form Basic {R} Energy. A Special Energy is limited like any other card.
Limits: no card database is queried. The tool does not recognise the Standard or Expanded format, rotation, banned cards, the one-per-deck ACE SPEC and Radiant Pokémon rules, a printed exception or a misspelt name. The Basic Pokémon box relies on your confirmation.
What the result includes
- the total out of 60 cards;
- the Pokémon, Trainer and Energy totals;
- confirmation of a Basic Pokémon;
- any name above four copies;
- lines that were not understood, and a downloadable list.

Pepita identifies the set, number, language and finish from one photo. You keep the exact printing and its value in euros in your collection. The app is available in English and French.
Frequently asked questions
Does this prove my deck is tournament legal?
No. It checks only the visible structure of the list. The format, rotation, banned cards, ACE SPEC and Radiant limits and any card-specific exception must be checked against the event’s rules.
Why are cards with the same name added together?
The four-copy rule applies to a card’s name, even across different printings, artworks or sets. Basic Energy cards are the exception and can be played in any number.
Which deck list formats does it read?
Pokémon TCG Live and Limitless exports work as pasted: Pokémon, Trainer and Energy headings, then one line per card starting with its quantity, optionally followed by the set code and collector number. Older TCG Online exports and French lists are read too.
Is my deck list sent to Pepita?
No. The check runs in your browser. The share link stores the list after the # symbol, a part of the address that browsers never send to the server.
