Pokellector has not been updated on iOS since 17 October 2024, and TCGplayer shows prices from its own US marketplace.

Scanning and prices: what each app states

The scan identifies the card; the price source decides the value you see. A Cardmarket price in euros and a TCGplayer price in dollars describe two different markets.

What pepita does better

Why pepita, point by point, with what you need to check it.

Free every day, Premium only if you want it

pepita gives 20 free scans a day, with the Cardmarket price in euros, the collection, its value over time and Top Movers. The optional Premium subscription only adds unlimited scanning and subscriber-only giveaways: €7.99 a month or €47.99 a year, on iPhone. No advertising in the app.

Allowance and prices checked on 7 October 2026; the other apps' prices are in the “Pricing” column of the tables, read on the French App Store and Google Play listings on 18 September 2026.

The cards that are moving, open to everyone

The Top Movers tab ranks the biggest risers and fallers of the week or the month, printing by printing, from the same Cardmarket reading as the rest of the app. That weekly reading is also published in the open on this site, with no account and no subscription. Two other publishers state that they track price changes, ZebraDex and MonPrice; their listings do not say whether it is included in their free tier, so we count it neither for nor against.

The public weekly reading: the Pokémon market this week.

The interface: our opinion, owned as one

We think pepita is the most pleasant of the lot to use. That is an opinion, it cannot be sourced, and it therefore belongs in no table on this page. What can be checked: no advertising, and the price shows from the first scan, with no subscription. Frame the card, read the price, move on to the next one — the app does nothing else, and that is the point. It is free to download: the only test that counts costs a minute.

A European price, never converted

The price shown is the Cardmarket price in euros, the market a card actually sells on in Europe. Printings stay apart: standard, reverse holo and holo are three separate products on Cardmarket, and confusing the first two is the largest silent pricing error there is. Several apps in this comparison quote TCGplayer first, so an American market in dollars.

The rest of the site: free, no sign-up

The card-by-card prices, the set pages, the ranking of the most expensive cards and the valuation tools are public, dated and need no sign-up. Every price carries its source and the date it was read.

Good to know: pepita is on iPhone and Android, does not price graded cards or sealed products, and its interface is currently in French.

Alternatives: the most-asked questions

What is a Collectr alternative with prices in euros?

Collectr does not state where its prices come from. Four apps in this comparison state a Cardmarket, and therefore European, price: pepita (free with 20 scans a day, iPhone and Android, Cardmarket in euros), Cotémon (Cardmarket in euros with a TCGplayer reference in dollars), PokéItem (Cardmarket Near Mint plus eBay sales, eight currencies including the euro) and PokéCardex (Cardmarket and TCGplayer).

What is an alternative to PokéCardex?

For comparable collection tracking, PokéItem adds PSA, BGS and CGC graded cards, and Dex adds stack scanning and a web version. If you want the Cardmarket value of your cards without a subscription, pepita does it with 20 free scans a day, Japanese cards included, but it does not price graded cards.

Is the TCGplayer app useful in Europe?

It shows the market price on TCGplayer, a US marketplace. That price helps if you sell in the United States. If you sell in Europe, a Cardmarket value describes the market you will actually sell on.

Is there an official Cardmarket app?

On 18 September 2026 we found no mobile app published by Cardmarket on the French App Store or on Google Play, which is why Cardmarket is not in the tables. Several apps in this comparison do show prices drawn from Cardmarket.

How to choose your app

Start with the market you buy and sell on. In Europe the reference is Cardmarket, in euros. A TCGplayer price describes the US market: converted to euros, it can sit well away from what a European-language card actually sells for.

Then look at what your collection holds. Local-language cards, Japanese cards, graded cards and sealed products are not catalogued everywhere. A dash in the tables means the publisher does not say: test with ten cards before you enter three hundred.

Finally, weigh the price against your use. A weekly subscription costs more than a monthly or yearly one. If you only want to know what a card is worth before selling it, a free app is enough.

Method and limits of this comparison

Every fact in the tables comes from an official page: the French App Store listing, the Google Play listing or the publisher’s site, read on 18 September 2026 (pepita’s Google Play listing on 6 October 2026). pepita’s free allowance and Premium prices were checked on 7 October 2026 against the production server and App Store Connect. Ratings, prices and update dates are those of the French App Store and may differ in your country. Links are in the Sources section.

This comparison describes what publishers state. We did not measure each app’s scanning accuracy or speed, so we rank nobody on it. When a publisher says nothing about a feature, the cell stays empty: silence is never read as “no”.

No app paid to be listed, no link is an affiliate link, and any reported error is corrected with a new check date.

A card’s Cardmarket price, from one photo

pepita identifies the set, number and variant, then shows the Cardmarket value in euros. Free with 20 scans a day; optional Premium at €7.99 a month or €47.99 a year, on iPhone. Rated 5/5 on the App Store. The app interface is currently in French.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Pokémon card scanner app?

It depends on the job. For managing a full collection, language by language, PokéCardex is a safe bet (4.8/5 on the French App Store). For graded cards and sealed products, PokéItem covers the most. For a free Cardmarket price on iPhone or Android, pepita gives 20 free scans a day, with an optional Premium subscription for unlimited scanning, and it is rated 5/5.

Which app shows Pokémon card values in euros?

pepita and Cotémon show a Cardmarket value in euros, and PokéItem lists the euro among eight currencies. PokéCardex, MonPrice, Dex and Dragon Shield name Cardmarket among their price sources. TCGplayer shows its own US marketplace price.

Is there a free Pokémon card scanner app?

One app in this comparison is free with no in-app purchases: TCGplayer (US market price). The other ten are free to install and sell a subscription for advanced features. pepita is one of them: its free tier gives 20 free scans a day with a Cardmarket value in euros, on iPhone and Android and in French, and its optional Premium subscription (€7.99 a month or €47.99 a year, on iPhone) lifts that limit.

How do I find the exact value of a Pokémon card?

First identify the exact printing: set, number, language and finish (regular, reverse holo, holo). Then check that printing’s price on the market you will sell on — Cardmarket for Europe — and adjust for condition. A scanner app automates the first step; judging condition is still up to you.

Which apps recognise Japanese Pokémon cards?

Five publishers state it: pepita, PokéCardex, PokéItem, Dex and Pokellector. The others do not say on their official listings.

Which app tracks PSA graded Pokémon cards?

PokéItem tracks PSA, BGS and CGC graded cards, and Collectr covers graded cards in its price guide. ZebraDex offers a centring analysis, which is not a graded-card price. The other publishers say nothing on this point.

Can I scan several Pokémon cards at once?

Two publishers state it: Dex, with whole-stack scanning, and PokéItem, with binder-page scanning in beta for subscribers. The other apps scan one card at a time or do not mention the feature.

Are these apps available on Android?

Ten of the eleven have a Google Play listing: pepita, PokéCardex, Collectr, Pokellector, Dex, PokéItem, ZebraDex, TCGplayer, MonPrice and Dragon Shield. Cotémon is iPhone-only. Pokellector and Dex also have a web version.
