How we decide

Today, the rule says: neutral.

Breadth is the share of cards worth €5 or more above their 30-day average. The index is the 250 most valuable cards.

Bullish: breadth at 60% or more and the index up over 30 days. Bearish: breadth at 40% or less and the index down. Everything else is neutral, even when the index is rising: a rally carried by a few cards is not a bull market.

30 days later, we look at the index. A bullish read was right if the index gained at least 2%, a bearish one if it lost at least 2%, a neutral one if it stayed between. The verdict is shown here, good or bad.

On top of the rule, we write what we think: which era is moving, which cards pull the market, what looks durable. That part is an opinion, and it is signed.
