Our read of the Pokémon card market on 1 November 2026: a neutral call leaning up, with the index of the 250 most valuable cards at +9.8% over 30 days.

The short answer

As of 1 November 2026, by our rule, the Pokémon card market is neutral, leaning up. The index of the 250 most valuable cards is up 9.8% over 30 days, and 53% of cards worth €5 or more are above their 30-day average. A bull market would also need a larger share of cards above their average.

  • Neutral Our call on the whole market, by our rule
  • +9.8% The index of the 250 most valuable cards over 30 days
  • 53% Of cards worth €5+ above their 30-day average
  • 412 / 385 Cards at a 5-week high / 5-week low

The index climbs, breadth slips

The top-250 index is up 9.8% over 30 days and 111.2% since it started on 15 February. Underneath, the picture is split: 412 cards hit a 5-week high and 385 a 5-week low, about as many of each. Breadth is 53%, down from 55% a week ago. That is a neutral market leaning up. Our read: slipping breadth makes the index rally less convincing. We remain neutral despite the EX era’s gains.

EX is up, but not every EX set

The EX era (2003-2007) is up 23.1% over 30 days, €16,414, the biggest euro gain of any tracked era. Team Rocket Returns gains 44.7% and €8,112 over 30 days, the biggest euro gain among comparable sets. Torchic ☆ hits a 5-week high at €8,501.60, and Mudkip ☆ is up 77.5% over 30 days to €8,414.17. Meanwhile Dragon Frontiers loses 22.5%, €2,170, the biggest euro loss of any comparable set. Mew ☆ δ is down 43.8% to €1,839.48. We think buyers have stopped treating EX as one block. They are picking sets, and sellers are taking profits on Dragon Frontiers.

HeartGold & SoulSilver and Black & White rise, Mega Evolution falls

Over 30 days, HeartGold & SoulSilver (2010) gains 35.9%, with Triumphant up 83.3%. Black & White (2011-2013) rises 25.2%. Espeon (Undaunted) hits a 5-week high at €223.66. At the other end, Mega Evolution (2025-2026) is down 18.2%, €1,940, the biggest euro loss of any tracked era. Ascended Heroes is down 28% and Mega Charizard Y ex loses 49% over 30 days, to €186.51. Our read: Mega Evolution has not found its floor yet, and buyers who paid up for new releases are now looking at 2010 to 2013 cards that still look cheap to them.
